Monday, May 31, 2004 Just got back to Bandung today, naek kreta, tut tut tuuutt.. Why? Well, karena banyak hal sih. Pertama karena Kereta itu bergerak di rel yang hampir selalu lurus jalannya dan hampir gak pernah berhenti, always moving in a relatively constant speed and constant vibration. Ngomong'ngomong soal getaran, memang sih lebih nyaman naek mobil, tapi macetnya itu, ya Tuhan, kadang'kadang gue bisa di jalan up to 5 hours or even more!! Nah yang paling penting, the view!! Along the way on the Jakarta'Bandung track you'll pass an area (Karawang) of an extensive view of rice fields, which is, by the right time of the year, has this very wonderful dan amazing greeny fields.. And again, with the right time of the year, like one today, has a crystal clear blue skies, with white clouds and the sunshine glimmers and passes through it. Which for me as a kid who grew up in the city, is a rare and breathtaking view. Although I often goes to rural area of Java or the outback of Bali, I never seize to amaze the view of the tropical rice fields (especially when it doesn't rained!!). So don't forget! When your travelling from Jakarta to Bandung or either, have an amazing journey on the train, with the right girl on your side (which gives a pleasant view too, heheh) and the wonderfull rice fields by the window view. I don't know if I could still see the view in the next 20 years or more, but I hope that it remains the same, like the one I used to know.
